Childhood development

Childhood development

Imagine you are born in a dark mud hut in a remote village in Malawi, your parents are poor, they cannot provide you even one meal every day. Your chances to grow up and have a prosperous life are very slim. Kidshare does not accept this. Every child should have the right to live life to the full. We can support them by giving these children the joy of education, so that they can develop and have a bright future.
Kidshare holds the following principles:

  • Needs of the community
Our projects stem from the needs and wishes of the community. They themselves want a school to be built in their village.
  • Community contribution
The community actively participates in the project. They contribute to the construction by covering 10 to 25% of the costs – in cash, in kind or in labour, for example by working for free, by providing building sand or by baking bricks.
  • Local partnership
We work with partner organizations in the country itself. They know best the local situation and context. They implement the projects together with the community.
  • The government in the country co-operates
